The reasons why I do business at Weyburn Inland Terminal are for the flexible hours, excellent service and their presence in the community. And the staff at WIT are excellent. They have coached my kids in ball and hockey and just two years ago, my daughter received a scholarship from WIT. They are knowledgeable, helpful and they are focused on making me a prosperous farmer.

At Weyburn Inland Terminal you can expect constant improvement. The staff from top to bottom is just excellent; they know who you are either on the phone or in person. This year they have made improvements to increase the speed of grain unloading; improving a system that is already the best in the industry. Six days a week, 13 hours a day, you can count on having great staff and great facilities.

The best thing that I like about Weyburn Inland Terminal is the service. Every company has different prices and you can always shop around, but I like to stay where I have had good service. And I have experienced this at WIT, from top to bottom – because WIT has really good people… from grain buyers to the girls in the office, they are all exceptional. The employees care about the company, it shows in their service. They put money back into the operation to help their customers.

Alliance Grain Terminal is owned by two private and four farmer owned grain companies, including Weyburn Inland Terminal. We connect WIT to export markets and opportunities around the world. They’re great at shipping large volumes of grain that already meet the export standards our customers require, making us more efficient and ensuring our end use customers receive the product they’ve ordered every time.

I have been involved with the Lomond 4-H Beef Club for about 8 years. The Weyburn Inland Terminal has always been a strong supporter of 4-H. They buy several steers from all the clubs every year and they’re a sponsor of the regional show as well. We’re happy that there are businesses like WIT that will step up and support 4-H. It’s one of the great youth activities and the kids learn a lot.

I really like doing business at Weyburn Inland Terminal. They are basically farmers, running a farm company the way farmers want it run, debt free. This year the whole area really had an ergot problem. WIT purchased extra cleaners to help out and were able to get some durum that would have been sample back to a 2 CW. They don’t sit back – they put money back into the operation to help their customers.

What we like best about Weyburn Inland Terminal is the service and the grading. Our grades can improve when we’re bringing different grain from different bins and different farms. WIT will blend them together to get a better grade. It’s nice to be able to do business at a place where the service is great and you’re a shareholder. We feel we’re working together for maximum yield and the best grade.

It’s nice dealing with the guys at Weyburn Inland Terminal. They’re honest, professional and very friendly. Whenever you need any information for your crops, the agrologists will sit down with you and go over your options and let you know what’s best for your farm. If you have a problem, they’ll come out and look at it. The guys in the chemical shed are great, a very ambitious crew. They help you out any way they can.

I like dealing with the Weyburn Inland Terminal because it’s a farmer directed, state of the art facility, in a good location. They have fair grading, as well as a professional and friendly staff. A few years ago I had a durum contract with another grain company and I had an ergot problem. I had to clean it before delivering. In this past year this area struggled with ergot again. WIT put in cleaners and a program to help guys out. It really was a bonus to the farmer.

We have a really great group of staff here. When you combine people who really care and top notch equipment, I don’t think you could ask for a better job of cleaning than what we do here at WIT. The people who work with me are superb. For ten months last year, we were going 24 hours a day, seven days a week, just to get this ergot cleaned out – that’s through holidays and weekends and everything. Whatever it takes to get it done, we’ll do it.
